Use of cobalt ferrite and activated carbon in supercapacitors

Supercapacitors are energy storage devices that can cleanly and efficiently meet the growing demand. The presentwork describes synthesis of nanoparticles cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4) by combustion method their use with activated carbon (AC) to manufacture supercapacitors. In order study influence composition on electrochemical properties, supercapacitors three different compositions were produced: Fe90 (90% CoFe2O4 10% AC), Fe50 (50% 50% AC) Fe10 (10% 90% AC). Microstructural morphological analyses performed X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electronmicroscopy (TEM), Raman spectroscopy. Cyclic voltam-metry (CV), galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD), floating impedance spectroscopy (EIS) tests performed. XRD, SEM, TEM results showed was effective for production nanoparticles. SEM AC has a porous structure low crystallinity. According CV, GCD tests, all presented excellent stability. yielded lowest equivalent series resistance, while highest capacitance. show combination is promising in
